| Job Requirements |
This position requires previous experience creating and maintaining online content and multimedia features of an established website. Position will involve posting articles, blogs and images in content management system. You will work with staff to generate original copy and custom content features, as well as help drive the growth and engagement of our audience. Candidates should have an understanding of web publishing, use of images and video, search optimization, and an eye for effective web layout and design. Familiarity and interest in health, fitness and weight loss, as well as a grasp of the Shape sensibility and voice a plus.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
A bachelors, advanced degree, or equivalent
2 to 3 years professional experience producing web content
SEO experience a must
Active user of social networking platforms including Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter
In depth knowledge of, and fluency in, the world of technology (including basics of blogging, general online publishing best-practices, social networks, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Expertise with HTML and other web technologies.
An openness to evolving responsibilities
Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and prioritize time and workload.
You enjoy being part of a team and work well in a collaborative environment.
Familiarity with Photoshop, Final Cut Pro , and Illustrator or equivalent software programs
