Job Requirements Description: Scholastic Printables is an online subscription service providing teachers in PreK-8 market with instant access to high quality classroom materials. Scholastic is seeking a Product Manager with experience in publishing and online marketing to execute on the strategy and development of content and marketing for this service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all web content related to Scholastic Printables website.
• Research, author, and assign original content and prepare for online dissemination.
• Maintain the editorial content of the Printables website
• Monitor site traffic to inform future content development initiatives
• Ensure that all documents meet established content standards and work with developers to assess any technical challenges in displaying the content
• Seek reprint permissions from authors where we are reproducing published work and oversee initiatives to place content and related assets online
• Monitor competitors, stay abreast of new technologies, and industry trends
• Communicate with authors as necessary
• Execute marketing plan to build an active subscriber file and retain customers on a consistent basis.
• Implement acquisition, usage, and retention campaigns including SEO, SEM, on-site advertising, email marketing, direct mail and overseeing other aspects of online marketing.
• Manage marketing programs against monthly revenue targets; conduct ongoing analysis of programs, and implement improvements to achieve goals.
• Work with outside designers and freelance writers to produce high quality marketing materials on time and on budget
Requirements: Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in publishing; preferably web publishing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related area
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Attention to detail
• Proven skills in interfacing with and managing design teams and content partners
• Excellent project management skills, including ability to effectively manage project timelines and hit milestones
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong interest in new product development and in working in a dynamic business start-up environment, including the ability to wear multiple hats
