Assistant Editor
B2B publisher seeks a detail-oriented and self-motivated assistant editor for a duel role on two of its monthly manufacturing publications, special sections and e-media properties.
Quality is a monthly business publication serving the quality assurance and process improvement needs of manufacturing professionals. The magazine and its entities report on the use of sound metrology methods, statistical analysis and process improvement techniques to significantly improve quality on the shop floor and in manufacturing planning.
Appliance Design is a monthly, business-to-business technical magazine serving product design engineers in a wide variety of appliance segments, both residential and commercial. The editorial content informs these design engineers about new materials, components and technologies that will help them to design better products. It also keeps them updated on any regulations that would affect their product development process
Duties include updating Web site; producing e-newsletters; researching and writing features and departments; develop and maintain relationships with industry experts and authors.
Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or related field. Strong writing and editing skills, including the aptitude or experience to deal with technical materials. Knowledge of new media and ability to multitask are essential. Candidate will display strong personal initiative and creativity along with great interpersonal skills. Some travel is required.
