BizBash Media is looking for energetic, detail-minded interns to work in our editorial department at least two days a week this spring. The ideal candidate can juggle a wide variety of tasks and won't mind doing some grunt work to support the department while working closely with editors on several kinds of projects and stories.
Job duties include:
* Updating our online and print directories of event vendors and venues.
* Factchecking stories and directory listings.
* Some occasional writing of short news stories and style items.
Essential skills and qualifications include:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ease on the phone. Candidates must feel comfortable coldcalling people for information.
* Solid knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and the basics of reporting and factchecking.
