||About the Position
Corbis is looking for an experienced business leader to manage and optimize our Corbis Images Archive business. The VP Archive Portfolio will be responsible all lifecycle management activities including content sourcing, merchandising, margin optimization and business operations for all of our Corbis Images Archive products. This leader will work with key internal stakeholders like Sourcing / Editing, Technology and Marketing to provide a holistic view of current product offerings and opportunities for continuous improvement and long term growth. Additionally, the VP Archive Portfolio will partner with leaders of Corbis Entertainment and Splash to identify synergies for cross-selling and content integration.
•Possess a strong product marketing and merchandising background with demonstrable product focus and ability to understand trends, market insights and their effect on the product vision.
•Skilled in creating compelling business cases that can evolve into solid solutions and robust product road maps.
•Ability to alternate between tech, sourcing and business worlds to both understand implementation options and constraints as well as understand and drive dependencies with sales, marketing, legal, finance and other non-technical teams.
•Thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring demonstration of maturity, sound judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
•Lead the overall product development and strategy for Corbis Images Archive business to include portfolio analysis, forecasting, strategy and lifecycle management.
•Monitor, measure and analyze the cost and return on product and product life cycle changes for the product brands. Share information as required to influence content acquisition strategies and technology updates and identify new opportunities and markets for the archive content.
•Develop tools, reporting/dashboards to provide portfolio visibility to key stakeholders and drive accountable business results.
•Gather, analyze and utilize marketing data and insights to be an influential voice in developing robust, impactful content portfolio changes that optimize business results.
•Clarify desired outcomes and business value, articulate business and systems requirements and then identify tradeoffs to balance business outcomes with technical constraints which optimize time to market.
•Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment and accountability with internal teams and disparate content groups.
•Responsible for managing direct reports by establishing clear priorities and objectives, communicating requirements and constraints and setting criteria for success. Provide encouragement and feedback through regular one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Product Management or related curriculum. MBA preferred.
•10-15 years industry-related experience (software/internet high technology, content production, licensing) with at least 7 years’ experience leading and managing a team of comparable size.
•Strong knowledge of both the traditional and digital stock photography industries preferred.
•Previous P&L experience with businesses in excess of $50million annual revenue
•Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills required. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills cross-functionally and globally.
•Demonstrated track record of strong leadership with ability to achieve results through others and successfully lead major project teams.
•Strong business analysis and technical acumen.
•Excellent critical and strategic thinking with ability to translate strategy into action and results.
•Ability to build a collaborative environment.
