The Digital Marketing Manager strategically positions the Tri-Valley as a preferred travel destination by actively engaging consumers through digital marketing outlets including the company’s website, social media channels and partner platforms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manage daily content and update weekly content calendar for all social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest
• Manage paid media campaigns across all social channels (Facebook ads, promoted tweets, rich pins, etc.)
• Manage and maintain all aspects of the company website including troubleshooting, content management, SEO and PPV activities
• Manage e-mail marketing efforts
• Deliver weekly reports and ad hoc results on company website and social media activity using analytics tools including, but not limited to: Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social
• Collaborate with marketing partners to develop real-time creative ideas and content to drive Tri-Valley conversation in social channels based on memes, trends, news stories, etc.
• Work with the PR Manager and sales team to create and maintain a fresh, up-to-date daily content calendar that tells the Tri-Valley story
• Serve as Visit Tri-Valley's on-the-scene reporter for all events and promotions
• Work with Visit Tri-Valley’s Board of Directors, community ambassadors, sales team and PR team to assemble and publish critical information
• Work closely with the VP of Marketing and PR Manager to share and amplify noteworthy media mentions that the community would love to hear about
• Research area attractions, restaurants, facilities, tour products and events that support Visit Tri-Valley’s brand and messaging
• Maintain a photography library on the website for journalists and marketing partners
• Manage allocated digital marketing budget
• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external partners

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
• Stay on top of the latest in social media platforms so Visit Tri-Valley is always out front in its use of communications tools
• Learn new techniques and stay abreast of industry trends and developments in a changing media landscape
• Manage a professional work calendar
• Provide team support to achieve group goals
• Attend the quarterly marketing meetings with stakeholders
• Represent Visit Tri-Valley as needed at industry and community events and meetings

QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ years of social media experience
• Superb writing skills with a strong sense of voice in long form (multi-part blog narratives, documentation) and short forms (tweets)
• Equal fluency across social media platforms: blogging, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and ones nobody else has heard of yet
• Genuine love for the Tri-Valley area
• Ability to identify interesting and relevant articles, books, speeches, conferences, movies, etc., on related topics to share with our community
• Demonstrate success for all of the above (growth of communities, examples of content that has driven high interaction and engagement, clear communication of social media analytics)
• Hands-on and positive can-do attitude with a strong desire to raise the bar
• Proven success in a high growth, rapidly changing environment
• Unrelenting intellectual curiosity and sense of pride in doing awesome work
• Skilled in personal and professional organization and time management
• Ability to attend weekend and evening meetings, tradeshows and events as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Ability to travel as needed; must have reliable transportation with adequate insurance
• Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends
• Must be able to work in a standard office environment that may require frequent movement around the office and some occasional lifting of boxes and supplies
• Extensive use of computer and keyboard required for most of the workday
• Must have the ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously and perform work in a high-paced, high-energy environment
