Job Requirements To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in content creation, copy writing, web marketing, search engine optimization, and web analytics. Working knowledge of the healthcare, science, or biomedical industries and strength in data analysis and the ability to synthesize user feedback to help drive content decisions will be expected. Strong communication and computer skills are required along with familiarity with social media tactics as they relate to marketing. Demonstrated project management skills including planning, scheduling, meeting deadlines, and working with team members and outside vendors to complete projects is a must.

As a key member of the marketing team at the Mount Sinai Health System, the freelance Web Marketing Manager will own the strategic development and implementation of website content, online marketing, and advertising programs for an extensive array of health care services and specialty areas. This individual will ensure that the website’s content, usability, and appearance is optimized for search engines and reflects the institution’s reputation as preeminent in the areas of medicine, education, and scientific research.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with departments throughout Mount Sinai
• Serving as the primary point-of-contact between the Department of Marketing and Communications and priority service lines
• Providing strategic guidance and leading day-to-day project management and workflow
• Supporting all social media efforts pertaining to Department initiatives and work closely with the Social Media Manger to develop messaging and strategy
• Partnering with web liaisons to translate basic science, clinical, and education news into compelling content for landing pages, email campaigns, newsletters, banners, paid search, and other online programs
• Working with a cross-departmental team, maintaining and developing a master content calendar for all web properties
• Editing content from multiple stakeholders to drive strategic goals and messaging
• Optimizing website components (copy, page title/descriptions, site architecture, and filenames) to increase natural search engine rankings for priority service lines
• Managing paid search and keyword-based marketing activities across multiple engines, ensuring that campaigns are tasked properly, completed as scheduled, and meet or exceed all advertising goals
