Job Requirements The Role:

Bloomberg Radio is searching for a local Sales Manager for our Boston operation. This Sales Manager will serve as a "player/coach". The successful candidate will have existing media ad sales management experience or aspire to sales management, and have strong client relationships in the Boston area.

This Sales Manager will develop business as well as "roll up sleeves" and lead a small team. The Sales Manager and team will work with Boston based clients across all aspects of the sales process, with a focus on financial, auto, technology, health care and luxury accounts. We are looking for a strong leader with great presentation, leadership and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to thrive and motivate in a business environment with "startup initiative" qualities.

Key responsibilities include:

-Build on and grow a list of core Bloomberg Radio accounts
-Lead a small team
-Continuous prospecting and presentations with senior executives
-Pitching to agencies' planning and account teams
-Providing weekly updates on the number of prospects, new business meetings and pending sales to Senior Management
-Coordination with Bloomberg's other media properties
-Execution and follow up

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of recent and relevant media sales experience, including strong client relationships in the Boston area
- Prior team leader experience helpful
- Strong track record of new business development, with a focus on the following categories: tech, financial, health care, education, and automotive
- Successful track record & experience working directly with senior marketing executives at the client level
- Strong computer skills are necessary, particularly proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel & Salesforce
- Ability to succeed in a business environment with "startup initiative" qualities
