Job Requirements Your duties and responsibilities:
• To promote and sell TASCHEN publications in order to secure orders from all existing accounts within the designated territory as well as to grow and maintain relationships with those accounts
• To generate new business with prospective accounts
• To prepare sales reports for management and clients
• To forecast trends

Your profile:
• A background in publishing, the arts, fashion, or culture
• Experience in selling to national accounts and special markets
• Knowledge of the designated territory
• Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
• Understanding of and flexibility to travel extensively
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations
• Outgoing, ambitious, and flexible with excellent communication skills
• Able to work well within a team and independently
• Excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience in working within a global company an asset
• A BA level or equivalent and/or relevant work experience
• A strong awareness of TASCHEN's profile and publications, and an engaged interest in our unique and highly successful program
• Valid driver's license
About Our Company The territory includes the Midwest and parts of the Northeast. The successful candidate will represent TASCHEN publications to the retail book trade, museums, specialized retailers, special markets, and specialized online customers to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth. The position requires extensive travel within the territory.
