Job Requirements Demonstrated record of performance in communications and the persuasive arts, including strong writing and editing skills and an eye for visual marketing.

Seven or more years of experience in a leadership role in a communications capacity. Prior communications work in education (either higher education or K-12) or corporate is a plus.

Adaptability, capacity to perform well on tight deadlines, creative problem-solving approach.

Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s degree required.
About Our Company Fordham University's business school seeks a communications leader to create and implement short-term and long-range communications plans that will raise the visibility and reputation of our programs, students and faculty.

The Director of Communications will:

— Write and implement three-year communications plans that lay out a concrete, action-ready strategy for elevating Fordham's brand in the business education marketplace.

— Oversee the creation of all admissions and recruitment materials, as well as related advertising

— Coordinate a content revision of the business school's web site

— Supervise the work of the Assistant Director of News and Media Outreach and the Events Manager

This is an exciting time to work at Fordham's business school. The undergraduate and graduate schools are being unified into a single school with a stronger national brand. The Director of Communications will help to position the school and solidify its reputation.

Fordham's business programs span two campuses: Lincoln Center, located at West 60th Street and Columbus Avenue in Manhattan, and Rose Hill, located right next to the Fordham MetroNorth station in the Bronx. The Lincoln Center campus houses a small undergraduate program in global business, along with the MBA and EMBA programs and 14 specialized Master of Science programs, in subjects ranging from quantitative finance to marketing intelligence to business analytics. The Rose Hill campus houses the majority of the undergraduate students, who pursue Bachelor of Science degrees in one of seven areas, such as accounting, finance, marketing, information systems and business administration. The population of the combined schools is approximately 3,700.
