Job Requirements HarperCollins Publishers seeks a Marketing Associate to develop consumer-marketing programs. The key goals of this position will be to work with the Marketing Partnerships Director in building a base of partners to work with on HarperCollins marketing initiatives, and to manage existing partnerships. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, be creative and have the drive and experience to oversee all aspects of a partnership.

Responsibilities:
•Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers.
•Assists in the development of a strong development pipeline of new partners.
•Develops partner proposals and assists with partnership and contract negotiations.
•Works with marketing, editorial, publicity, sales, legal and product development teams to secure internal assets and implement business development initiatives.
•Coordinates with the product team on the development, implementation and optimization of partnership assets and products.
•Manages partnership implementation process and on-time launch.
•Tracks and reports status updates and campaign performance metrics
•Develops press materials and pitches to media for HarperCollins digital initiatives and launches in coordination with corporate communications.
•Manages partner relationships and follows up on projects.
•Assists with competitive intelligence.

Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in business development or marketing
•Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills required
•Strong quantitative skills
•Strong strategic thinking
•Strong media relations skills
•Knowledge of Photoshop, PowerPoint and basic content management systems a plus
•Ability to work with cross-functional teams and across all levels of management
•Advanced problem-solving skills, adaptability and initiative
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
