From what we’ve been told by sources familiar with the matter, Andy Semons was Wendy Lurrie‘s last major hire at G2. After being brought onboard to serve as executive director, strategic planning at the agency to focus on the agency’s healthcare and financial units, we’ve received word the Semons was let go by G2 earlier this morning after spending just eight months at the agency. Prior to G2, Semons spent time leading strategic planning at Wunderman NY and Y&R Brands in San Francisco. And yes, U.S. director of strategy/planning Eric Pakurar, who joined last fall, is still working at G2.
