Ari Merkin Reunites with Crispin

We were told by the Crispin camp last week that rumors of the imminent demise of the Miami office were greatly exaggerated and now this latest news proves it as Ari Merkin has rejoined the agency as executive creative director of its South Florida base.

Just over a month after his New York shop Toy closed its doors, Merkin will now begin the process of adding new creatives in CP+B Miami. After originally leaving the agency at 33 to take on the ECD post at Fallon’s now-defunct New York office, Merkin says in a statement that he’s “thrilled to be back” and attributes much of his decision to return to MDC chief Miles Nadal. “Miles is a great guy. He totally gets what makes the place tick and everything he and MDC do is in support of their entrepreneurial vision. He was a big factor for me in my decision to rejoin the agency. I’m thrilled to be back helping to build the agency’s creative resources in the place where it all began.”

Along with Merkin’s return, CP+B also promoted Andrew Keller, Rob Reilly and Jeff Benjamin to chief creative officers.
