Double Digit Gainers: The B-to-B Awards

Did you know that the b-to-b agencies are kicking some ass with the top shops pushing double digit revenue gains? B-to-B magazine just announced their award winners for 2007 with BBDO, Digitas, Doremus and PJA Advertising taking top honors for their seriously impressive results.

Large Agencies -

Winner: BBDO New York
John Osborn, president-CEO
Key clients: AT&T, FedEx, GE, Monster, Motorola
The Story: BBDO picked up more than $1 billion in new business last year, including being named lead agency for AT&T and winning all of Motorola Corp.'s b-to-b business.

Runner-up: Ogilvy North America
Honorable Mention: McCann Erickson

Midsize Agencies -
Winner: Doremus
Carl Anderson, president-CEO
Key clients: BearingPoint, Brocade, CIGNA, Intel, Russell Investment Group
The Story: Doremus has expanded its digital services, which now make up about 40% of the agency's total business. They hired Michael Litchfield from interactive agency Avenue A|Razorfish, as director of interactive; leveraged user-generated content and social media resulting in revenue growth of more than 30% last year. Yeah. That's fricking huge.

Winner: PJA Advertising+Marketing
Mike O'Toole, exec VP-partner
Key clients: Boston Scientific, Invitrogen, Novell, Trend Micro, TriZetto Group
The Story: PJA Advertising+Marketing built momentum in 2007 with a dramatic increase in revenue of 34% adding several new account wins and expanding its core services.

Runner-up: Stein Rogan+Partners
Honorable Mention: Movéo Integrated Branding

Winner: Digitas
David Kenny, chairman-CEO (not picture above); Laura Lang, CEO, Digitas USA
Key clients: American Express, AT&T, General Motors, IBM, Intercontinental Hotels Group
The Story: Interactive winner Digitas, which was acquired by Publicis Groupe in January 2007, grew its business substantially throughout the year with new client wins, global expansion, the launch of new services and innovative online programs for clients.

Runner-Up: Tocquigny
Honorable Mention: IQ Interactive
