Jim Darlington, who’s spent the last three years at BBDO New York and fancies himself a “copywriter of the highest [caliber]” and “river of words, ideas and facial hair” has whipped up this rather formal looking infographic on his When the What blog that depicts the history of notable taglines. Sure, it’s not as technical or fancy as something that Vitamin T and Barbarian Group would draw up, but we like this guy’s old-school style, even if he only touched on select tags over the course of a century in his virtual notepad. Plus, he graduated from the same school (UCF) in the same year (2001) as yours truly so why not give a shout out.
