We’ve received confirmation that G2 has parted ways with longtime staffer Bob Traino, who was most recently group director in the business development team. From what we’ve been told, Traino had been part of the old Direct & Digital guard under Wendy Lurrie, who of course saw her time end at G2 at the beginning of this year.

As for Traino, the veteran G2 exec originally joined what was then Grey Direct in 1995 and spent 11 years as SVP, business management supervisor before transitioning to G2 Direct & Digital in ’06. Sources familiar with the matter are saying that Traino’s departure is part of some “house cleaning” that’s being done by Scott Stern, G2′s new head of biz dev whose formal title is executive director, business development and integrated solutions.
