Breaking: BBDO Cutting 189 Jobs Across North America

Update Per AdAgencyDeathWatch: “At least 30 at BBDO NY & (Atmosphere BBDO) gone since Tuesday, including some fairly senior people today.”

BBDO released a statement moments ago stating that 189 positions will be cut across the agency’s North American offices. The brief notice states that the cuts come, “in response to some lost client accounts (e.g.,Pepsi in the U.S.) and reduced planned levels of activity on some clients.”

The cuts represent six percent of staff across North America.
