Sources familiar with the matter confirm what tipsters have been telling us in the last few hours:  Butler Shine Stern & Partners has indeed retained AOR duties for BMW’s Mini, thus continuing a relationship that dates back to 2005. The folks at Mini kicked off a review in January, though we haven’t been told who else participated. BSSP’s responsibilities for the automaker include national, regional and dealer advertising as well as media buying/planning.

The Sausalito, CA-based BSSP has had a decent last few months to say the least, as the indie agency’s also won the Hillshire Farm and El Pollo Loco business in that time span. Update:AdAge now reports that BSSP will actually take on global duties for Mini. Nice promotion.
