Campbell-Ewald LA Not Closing, Says Rep.

We reported earlier today that Campbell-Ewald recently pulled out of the Farmers Insurance pitch (the client was up for review as of late July). A call to the agency’s Warren, Mich. office revealed that, “Campbell-Ewald is not participating in the review,” according to agency representative Mark Benner.

OK, so this isn’t super newsy, since they stepped out of the deal a few weeks ago. It is important to note, however, that this means CE is down to a handful of big dog clients. GM, their biggest, is still going the way of the proverbial, “fart in the wind”.

There is hope for the LA agency though, said Benner, which is currently hustling for insurance broheim Kaiser Permanente. Per Benner, the KP biz has not been shifted back to Warren &#151 though it does go back and forth from time to time.

Kind of a moot situation for CE &#151 which is still scrambling to win new clients. Who isn’t. Story over.
