If you’re a junior creative and happened to be in L.A.–or say, Mumbai, Athens, Chicago or Singapore–on May 26 and were looking for a gig in the agency world, you may have participated in ihaveanidea’s Portfolio Night 9, which was hosted by David@Goliath (well, the L.A. version at least). The video above, which comes from the Montreal Portfolio Night, offers no real insight into the event beyond the fact that is looks like your average office party/speed dating affair complete with DJ and a soundtrack provided by Beck.

Seems like fun, we suppose, but the folks involved tell us that the 21-city event lured 500 CDs and 1,500 juniors overall. BBDO NY SVP/CD Chris Cole seems pleased by the results, saying, “In one night, to be able to advise 1,500 emerging creatives around the world gives you a important glimpse into the level of talent emerging on our industry.” One question looms: Was it open bar?
