Job Opening at JWT

jobopening.jpg

Worldwide Chief Creative Officer at JWT,Craig Davis, is leaving next year. He’s said to be returning to Australia with his wife and children so they can be near their families. Davis’ replacement hasn’t been named, but of course JWT intends to fill the position.

In the Adweek article, CEO Bob Jeffrey says Davis’ decision was personal and that they’d discussed it since last year. Jeffrey praised Davis for all his hard work and the success he’s brought to JWT over the years. He’s quoted as saying, “We have Craig to thank for four years of impressive new business growth, strong talent acquisition and a shift in overall creative reputation. None of this would have been possible without his dedication, passion and leadership.”

Since Davis was only in this role for a few years, it’s seems odd that he’d leave with no new agency in mind. How many want to bet there will be an announcement about him taking a top position at another smaller, possibly interactive, agency soon?
