The tipsters were right once again as we’ve received confirmation that Landor Associates has had to let go of a handful of staffers in its Cincinnati office, one of over 20 offices within its global network. The Y&R Brands/WPP-owned strategic brand consulting/design firm tells us that cuts were made across the business in Cincy, and not focused on any one department or discipline. Here’s a quick statement from Landor that may help explain things:

“As a result of the current state of global business and the economy, Landor Associates’ Cincinnati office has eliminated 7 positions. While this was a difficult decision to make, it  was a necessary action to profitably manage our business. We are as committed as ever to deliver big ideas and breakthrough creative that positively impacts our clients business and ensure that we can continue to deliver as effectively as possible in the coming year.”
