Mullahy Leaving Neo@Ogilvy

Sources familiar with the matter confirm that after spending the last 18 months as North American CEO of O&M’s Neo@Ogilvy division, Nancy Mullahy is leaving the agency. From what we’ve been told, Mullahy is leaving on her own and wants to “have more personal time.” Prior to joining Neo@Ogilvy, the exec spent 15 years in various roles at Starcom MediaVest Group including EVP/managing director and president of SMG Performance Marketing. We’ve obtained a memo sent to staff yesterday from Neo@Ogilvy worldwide CEO Nasreen Madhany that addresses Mullahy’s departure and her successor, eight-year Neo vet Sean Muzzy. You can read it verbatim after the jump.

“ALL STAFF

July 2, 2012
I regret to announce that Nancy Mullahy has decided to leave Neo@Ogilvy. Nancy told me that she is looking for more flexibility with her time and that she plans to set up a consulting company. I am very grateful to Nancy for her many contributions and the tremendous value that she added to Neo during her time here. Her achievements are too many to enumerate, but of particular mention is the terrific job Nancy has done marketing Neo internally and externally, including initiating the now famous Neo@Ogilvy Creative Awards. Nancy worked tirelessly to make Pervasive Creativity a mantra at Neo. Nancy, thank you for all you have done for us.

We are very fortunate to be able to announce Nancy’s successor from within our organization. Effective immediately, we are promoting Sean Muzzy to CEO, Neo@Ogilvy North America. Sean is familiar face to everyone and has a deep understanding of our business after 12 years of working at Ogilvy. He is loved and highly respected by clients and the people he has worked with here. Most recently, Sean has been leading Neo’s Performance Marketing unit, which he has built over the past five years. It has grown to be a formidable capability for us and it drives most of our business development in North America. Sean is perfectly suited to succeed Nancy.

Please join me in wishing Nancy all the best in her future endeavors and congratulating Sean on his new role.”
