Friday was a bad day for GSD&M employees who found out that not only were they losing their ECD Mark Taylor but also part of their pay. To make matters worse, 11 staffers were let go in what is being called a "reorganization."

Roy Spence isn't long for the agency life. He's working on his book and generally, we hear, wants to be out of the lime light. So when Taylor was brought on to aid in the pitching mechanism of the agency, hopes were high. But after countless missteps in the fight for new business, Taylor is out.

No word yet on who will replace him.

Recently GSD&M made a move to realign itself in three internal groups and according to sources within the agency, separating from Taylor and the 11 other staffers was a move in that direction.

Staff also learned that their pay would be cut. Though we aren't sure how much will be cut, we're told there have already been two executive level paycuts prior to yesterdays.
