Roehm Wasn’t Rebuilt in a Day

Fast Company’s Danielle Sacks has just knocked out an extensive profile of Julie Roehm, the “Scarlet Woman of Bentonville” whose star turn at Chrysler was subsequently tarnished by her scandal-ridden, lightning-quick tenure at Wal-Mart.

Sacks takes a looksee into Roehm’s life a couple of years after the alleged shady dealings with agencies and love affair with a subordinate led to her downfall at the corporate mega-chain.

Still stuck in Arkansas, Roehm nevertheless has recently launched a consultancy called /Meta and taken on contract work with Credit Suisse. With this kind of momentum, here’s hoping her stint as a judge on CBS show Jingles finally takes off.
