Showtime’s ‘Dexter’ Doesn’t Like His Own Ads


If you live in New York, you’ve seen the above ad (or some iteration like it) plastered around the city. It’s Dexter, or actor Michael C. Hall, rather, of CBS’s (slash Showtime’s) Dexter made up on the cover of popular magazines Wired, Rolling Stone, et cetera. Apparently, Hall doesn’t like seeing himself all over the city, says our brother blog FishbowlNY.

The actor of, Six Feet Under fame, told The New Yorker‘s Drew Schutte (no, not Dwight Schrute), “It’s weird. It’s overwhelming. I can’t compete. There are too many of me.”

Um, who ever heard of a ‘camera shy’ celeb? Well, Hall can’t exactly be called camera shy, since he posed for the photos and eh hem, is the show’s star. So was that phrase an attempt at modesty?
