Sources: Samsung Shifts ‘Major Project’ from Leo to 72andSunny

MDC agency 72andSunny may be having its issues with the Pope at the moment, but while tempers flare over the controversial Benetton campaign, the L.A./Amsterdam-based agency has quietly picked up a “major project” from Samsung. According to sources, there was no official review, but we’ve been told that the electronics brand let 72andSunny pitch creative for said project against Leo Burnett, which has been working on Samsung’s global ad business for the past six years. In the end, 72 won out.

Because they’re probably too busy dealing with the wrath of the Vatican at the moment, 72andSunny could not be reached for comment. From what we hear, though, the agency’s “project” for Samsung will launch end of next week. Keep your eyes open during Thanksgiving weekend, friends.
