Jason Mitton is Also Leaving DFCB Chicago

We figured since he’s been with Draftfcb for nearly 11 years and seems to have had a pretty good rep at the agency (i.e. spies telling us that “his digital producers were massively loyal to him”), Jason Mitton probably deserves to be more than just a footnote to our Kevin Drew Davis post from this morning. Anyhow, sources have confirmed that Mitton, who was promoted to VP, director of digital production two years ago, has also resigned from the agency. From what we’re hearing, tomorrow is likely his last day at Draft Chicago. We’re trying to find out where he’s headed to next. Stay tuned.

Update: Our tipsters were spot-on yet again as Mitton is indeed joining Chicago/Milwaukee independent agency HY Connect (formerly Hoffman York) in a couple of weeks. Here’s a statement from HY executive creative director Michael Rivera: “We are pleased to share that Jason Mitton will be joining¬†HY Connect as Director of Technology. Jason will be responsible for driving our technology capabilities across all legacy, emerging and future platforms. He will also manage the growth and advancement of our expanding developer teams. Jason will be based out of the HY Connect Chicago office and starts Oct. 17. We look forward to Jason contributing his substantial digital talent and expertise to our rapidly evolving agency.”
