Suddenly, Zimmerman’s been all up in our radar as we’ve now received a handful of tips that the Omnicom-owned, Fort Lauderdale-based agency cut some staff last week. When we inquired, Zimmerman offer the ol’ “no comment” on the matter, though spies are saying that approximately 25 staffers were let go. If true, the news comes just days after we reported that the agency’s EVP/chief growth officer Ryan Linder was out (and joined Doner this month). We’re hearing some fellow EVPs have been affected by last week’s alleged cuts, and if we’re able to extract any further info from the Zimmerman camp, we’ll let you know.

We’ve received confirmation that Ryan Linder, who essentially took over for CMO Michael Goldberg at South Florida-based Zimmerman, is no longer with the agency. We’ve been told that Linder, whose last role at Zimmerman was EVP/chief growth officer, was actually out as of December 2012. The agency would not comment further on the matter or even whether there’s a replacement for Linder.

Prior to his year-long stay at Zimmerman, the exec spent five years working on new business efforts at Minneapolis-based Olson, where he last served as VP, marketing director.  During his career, Linder also worked on the account/biz dev side for several years at Jack Morton Worldwide.

Update: While we awaited word from their parent company MDC to no avail, the folks at Doner have confirmed tipsters’ words, going ahead and letting us know that Linder has joined the agency as SVP/chief growth officer, which should be familiar territory for the exec. In a statement regarding the new hire, co-CEO/president David Demuth says, “Ryan is a seasoned marketer and agency new business executive who brings a strong work ethic and successful track record to the agency. We’re pleased to have him play a role in helping to spread word of the exciting work that’s coming out of the agency and the impact it’s having on our clients’ businesses.”

We figured we’d bookend the holiday weekend with another Olson tidbit as we’ve come to learn that Ryan Linder‘s not the only staffer to recently depart from the agency. Sources familiar with the matter confirm that both ACD Noah Will and VP, director of strategy Mark Bubula (pictured) have left as well.

Will and Bubula had been with Olson for over four and eight years, respectively, with the former now heading to CP+B and the latter starting up a new business venture. We’re checking with Crispin to find out what the title and start date will be for Will, who had copywriting stints at Fallon, Jung von Matt and what is now WDCW during his career.

During his time at Olson, Linder moved up from interactive account supervisor to marketing director and eventually added VP to his title last year. Prior to Olson, Linder spent nearly six years as a senior account manager at Jack Morton Worldwide.
