Two ACDs Join 22squared

22squaredToday we confirmed that two longtime Atlanta-area associates will work together at a third consecutive agency: Associate Creative Directors Rob Bloom and Ryan Taylor have left Moxie Interactive to join 22squared.

We last heard from copywriter Bloom and art director Taylor when they left their positions at JWT’s Atlanta office for the ACD roles at Moxie just over a year ago.

While at the latter shop, the two both worked on the Georgia Pacific account under current EVP of creative Anthony Reeves; they will now serve as senior creatives within 22′s newly formed content department.

Moving forward, both Bloom and Taylor will report to 22squared EVP/CCD John Stapleton.

JWT ATL Copywriter Bloom Heading to Moxie

We’re checking with the Moxie camp on exact titles/start date, but for now, we’ve received confirmation that Rob Bloom, who has spent the last two years as a senior copywriter at JWT’s Atlanta office, is joining up with, yep, fellow ATL agency Moxie Interactive.

From what we’re hearing, Bloom is reuniting with his old JWT Atlanta partner-in-crime, art director Ryan Taylor at Moxie and that both will assume the role of ACD at the latter agency. During their time together at JWT ATL, Bloom and Taylor worked on accounts including Quaker State, U.S. Virgin Islands, SCANA Energy and the Marines. If you care, you can check out an interview with the pair about a certain SCANA project from last year here. Prior to JWT, Bloom served as a copywriter at the likes of Atlanta-based IQ Interactive.

Introducing the Sweaty, Crowdsourced Summer Jam of 2011

Is this the longest winter ever? I woke up this morning to snow on the ground. It’s the middle of April. What the hell?

Inspired by the endless winter of 2010-2011, a group of Minneapolis creatives have banded together to compose “Sweat Up in My Creases,” a song about some guy in a Twins hat who’s sweating a lot. Remember what sweating feels like, residents of the northern half of the United States? Well, a long list of rapping lyricists do, as the lyrics to this fly jam were compiled by contributors to a Facebook group created by Mono creative director Paula Maki Biondich and Rumble LLC creative director Rick Meyer. After combining the flyest rhymes on Facebook, “Sweat Up in My Creases” was born, featuring such Pulitzer-worthy one-liners as “Shoppin’ all day, should of wiped better/ Walkin’ all squishy, t.p.’s vendetta” and “The more I move the, more I excrete/ Pits soaked, wet socks on feet.”

We’ve seen some decidedly different videos that capture the Twin Cities’ rap scene in the past. Move over Atmosphere, crack those windows of your VW Passat and give mad respect to the various composers of “Sweat up in my Creases.” Credits after the jump.
