-It appears General Motors is killing Commonwealth and, as mentioned earlier this week, shifting the majority of its ad duties to McCann. link

-Former IPG-owned, now-indie agency Story Worldwide has appointed Tribal DDB/R/GA alum Rob Rasmussen as its first-ever chief creative officer. If you recall, Rasmussen parted ways with Tribal nearly nine months ago.

-Current OgilvyOne COO Gunther Schumacher has added president to his title. In addition, said agency has added four new board members including OgilvyOne China president Angel Chen, EMEA chief digital officer Patou Nuytemans, OgilvyOne London CEO Sam Williams-Thomas and Neo@Ogilvy CEO, North America, Sean Muzzy.

-Culver City/Vancouver-based VFX house Zoic Studios has signed Emmy-winning Rainer Gombos as creative director/VFX supervisor.

Mullahy Leaving Neo@Ogilvy

Sources familiar with the matter confirm that after spending the last 18 months as North American CEO of O&M’s Neo@Ogilvy division, Nancy Mullahy is leaving the agency. From what we’ve been told, Mullahy is leaving on her own and wants to “have more personal time.” Prior to joining Neo@Ogilvy, the exec spent 15 years in various roles at Starcom MediaVest Group including EVP/managing director and president of SMG Performance Marketing. We’ve obtained a memo sent to staff yesterday from Neo@Ogilvy worldwide CEO Nasreen Madhany that addresses Mullahy’s departure and her successor, eight-year Neo vet Sean Muzzy.
