Update: Our source reveals that the work is valued at around $1.5 million and that “it was put in to (Goodby’s) exiting scope of work with minimal increases.” Also, Sprint is reportedly going to cut more of its marketing department int he near future.

AgencSpy has learned that TBWA\Chiat\Day no longer holds the last piece of Sprint business, a portion of the client’s digital CRM, a source within the agency confirmed.

Presumably, the business will now be handled by Goodby, which nabbed the majority of Sprint’s work two years ago. One report puts the value of the CRM business at $7 million, though that number was not corroborated.

Sprint recently laid off some 8,000 employees in the Kansas City area, a figure that represents 15% of the company’s total roster. Pulling back from TBWA coincided with those layoffs, according to our source.
