We Hear: R/GA Layoffs to Begin Today

Always the bearer of bad news, it is with laden fingers we report there may be layoffs at R/GA’s New York office today. We’ve heard folks there have been preparing all week, tossing out unnecessary wares.

From what we’ve heard, which has not been confirmed by the agency, some 35 staffers are facing job loss. Rumor has it, producers are the most worried.

Updated: So far we’ve heard a number of senior people were let go, and 7 from tech. Did we mention this would be the agency’s second round of layoffs, ever?
