Recently, two high powered execs in advertising were awarded for their years of hard work and dedication. First up is Ann Fudge (left) who received "The Women of Power Legacy Award" from Black Enterprise. Fudge was the former Chair & CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands and by doing so, became the first black woman to lead a multimillion-dollar advertising agency.

Fudge remarked, "I look at all of you beautiful women and I think five, ten years ago, we wouldn't have assembled a group like you in corporate America. I'm so proud of your progress because you're why I stayed. You're why I stuck it out. I want to thank you for just being here and doing what you're doing."

And then, Heide Gardner, Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity & Inclusion of the Interpublic Group has been selected as one of the 25 Influential Black Women in Business by The Network Journal. Prior to joining Interpublic, Heide was Senior Vice President of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and the founding Executive Director of The AAF Mosaic Center on Multiculturalism.
