The Brennan Center, an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, is strongly committed to diversity and welcomes applicants of all races, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations, including people who have been previously incarcerated.
About Our Company The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan public policy and law institute that focuses on improving the systems of democracy and justice. We fight to protect voting rights, for campaign finance reform, to end mass incarceration in the United States, and to advance Constitutional protections in the fight against terrorism. We combine the elements of a think tank, a legal advocacy group, and a communications hub. In the 2012 election, the Brennan Center helped lead the fight to protect against new laws that would have made it harder for up to 5 million Americans to vote. Now we are pressing forward with reforms at the national and state level in our voting systems, public financing of campaigns, overturning Citizens United, and reforming federal law enforcement practices.

The Center is led by Michael Waldman, former chief speechwriter to President Bill Clinton, author, and national thought leader on democracy and justice issues. Our work is consistently cited in major national news outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and NPR — and influences public policy in Washington and in state capitols across the country.

We seek a Web Assistant to work in Communications Department, reporting to the VP of Communications and the Web Editor, on strategic day-to-day online communications efforts, which includes updating and managing the organization’s website and CRM system, enhancing our social media capacity, and tracking web traffic.
