Last year he started his latest venture, Wrapp, the first friend-to-friend social gifting app, with some of the best and brightest entrepreneurs in Sweden, including Andreas Ehn, Spotify’s first chief technology officer; Carl Fritjofsson, strategy advisor to Groupon.se; Aage Reerslev, founder of mobile browser Squace; and Fabian Mansson, former CEO of H&M and Eddie Bauer, who now serves at Wrapp’s chairman. Prior to Wrapp, Winbladh co-founded and was the CEO of Rebtel, the world’s largest independent mobile VoIP company, where he still serves as chairman. In 1994 Winbladh co-founded Sendit, the first mobile Internet company, where he served as CEO, and took it public in 1997, before being acquired by Microsoft. Today, Winbladh is an advisor to EQT, a group of leading private equity funds with investments in Northern and Eastern Europe, and Creandum, a Nordic venture capital firm investing in early and later stage companies with innovative technology and disruptive business models. Winbladh is also a member of the board at Springer Science+Business Media, a global publishing company, and an angel investor in iZettle, a mobile payments company, and EpidemicSound, creating a new library of music used in audio visual productions. Hjalmar has a solid history of speaking at top conferences such as: Rutberg, GigaOm, TechCrunch Disrupt, CTIA, Mobile World Congress, DLD, etc.
