Job Requirements XO Group Inc. - a lifestage media company including The Knot, The Nest, and The Bump brands — seeks a full-time Manager of Ad Platforms and Trafficking. The manager is responsible maintaining and evolving advertising platforms used to support the sales lifecycle, as well as accountably overseeing a team of offshore traffickers. By working closely with all teams in the Division this role ensures optimal efficiency in the operating lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be an extremely organized, detail-obsessed self-starter with a passion for everything digital. The ability to juggle multiple projects and stay calm and collected under pressure must be part of your DNA. Primary Responsibilities:

-Analyze and manage product changes to have a zero-downtime impact for clients and platforms
-Providing ad tagging strategies that scale and mitigate ongoing Ad Ops maintenance
-Manage inventory for advertising platforms
-Evolve forecasting methodologies and tools to sustain a low forecasting margin of error
-Owner of national print advertising availability throughout print lifecycle
-Work cross-functionally to ensure efficient and high quality campaign execution
-Monitor offshore team workload and negotiate with internal teams to manage expectations
-Enforce SLA compliance and serve as internal escalation point
-Provide trafficking support when overseas team is unavailable
-Partner with direct manager on continuous improvement and growth opportunities for the department and division

Requirements:

-Minimum 5-6 years in an online operations function, with preferably 1 year developing a high functioning Ad Operations team for a top-tier publisher, agency, or network.
-Must have prior experience in supporting online display, video, and mobile advertising campaigns.
-Knowledge of advertising platforms including first party servers (DFP preferred), third-party servers, exchange/RTB platforms, self-service, and industry trends. CRM & contract systems experience a plus.
-Significant time spent analyzing and summarizing data to derive strategic decision (must be able to VLOOKUP and Pivot Table easily!)
-Strong decision-making, self-organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify and prioritize critical issues.
-Experience working closely with high volume sales teams and effectively balancing operational process with Sales needs.
-Strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
-Ability to work cross functionally with excellent communication skills.
