McMURRY/TMG, based in New York, NY (with offices in Washington, D.C., Phoenix, AZ) is the largest independent content marketing agency in the U.S., seeks to hire an exceptional print project manager with superior client services skills to join our DC team.
Our A+++ candidate must have thorough experience handling large magazine print runs, complicated distribution, impositions, ad trafficking, special manufacturing needs including inserts, variable printing, multiple quotations, presswork, color accuracy, press checks, etc.
The successful candidate will have a solid track record executing custom solutions for national-level magazines with top-tier sales teams, pricing custom units and monitoring circulation. He or she must be a print expert, fluent in the latest print technology, and be able to manage all aspects of printing, distribution, budgets and billing.
The candidate will manage an internal team of designers, editors, photo editors, ad traffickers and prepress experts, in addition to an outward-facing role with clients. There will be interface with the company’s digital department. He or she will be responsible for creating and meeting schedules and deadlines, and will play a central role in managing the client relationship on all matters related to print production and pricing. Expertise in Word, Excel, InDesign and an expert Mac user expected. Some travel required.
