Social Media Community Manager / Content Creator

Job Requirements We’re looking for a NYC based Community Manager with a passion for style, pop culture, and beauty. This is a unique opportunity to manage a national spirit brand’s social media channels.

The right candidate will help us convey the brand’s messaging to millennial female-focused consumers in creative ways. Our ideal candidate should be comfortable leading content generation across several social media channels and engaging with social communities.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation – Write monthly editorial calendar using brand’s voice for all social media channels and work closely with design team to develop relevant images and videos
• Content Publishing – Post daily across brand’s social media channels including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest
• Monitoring & Engagement – Moderate comments, respond to consumers, and foster community engagement daily on brand’s social media channels
• Trend Identification - Actively follow competitors, relevant women’s lifestyle topics, and popular sites to uncover trends as they happen
• Analytics – Assist with tracking and reporting KPIs for social channels
• Program Support - Support Social Media Strategist and Account Director on brand’s social media programs and contests
• Client Interactions – Respond to client’s social media requests on a daily basis, participate in weekly status calls with client, travel to client offices on monthly basis as needed.


Requirements

• 2+ years in a full-time social media position for a brand, digital / PR or marketing agency (2013 college grads need not apply)
• Addicted to fashion trends, Internet memes, and celebrity news with the ability to spot trends within these communities (think StyleCaster, PopSugar, Buzzfeed, Cosmo, and OK!)
• Active on social media channels in your daily life aside from Facebook (e.g. Twitter, Instagram, Wordpress)
• Strong writing skills with ability to capture consumers’ attention in 140 characters or less
• Creative thinker with the ability to translate ideas into sharable written & visual content
• Experience monitoring and responding to consumers on social media channels
• Understanding of social media best practices and tools
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment that requires self-motivation and personal responsibility, incredible attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Interest in expanding your social media skills and becoming more involved in strategy development
• 4-Year College Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications
• Live in metro-NYC area
