Can Twitter Help This Couple Adopt A Baby?

If you’re someone looking to adopt a child or know someone who is, take note, because this is a great idea.

And even if you’re not interested in adoption in any way, please check this out and share this couple’s adoption profile. Consider it your good deed of the day.

Rick and Erika Jones want to adopt a baby.

Mashable reports that the couple has been on a small local adoption agency’s waiting list for more than two years. “Unlike larger adoption agencies, their Berkeley-based organization doesn’t have the financial means to extensively market their clients. Nor do Rick and Erika have the money to go through a larger adoption agency.”

And Rick tells us that they’ve been trying to adopt even longer than that.

So now they’re making a pretty solid effort to get the word out online – and they’re focusing on Twitter.

Using Rick’s Twitter account, the couple is contacting celebrity accounts and others with large followings asking them to retweet their adoption profile in hopes of it popping up on the screen of their prospective birth mother.

Here’s the intro page from their website:

So what do you say? Can you help out this “country boy meets city girl” and share their story on your social networks?
