If you watch Fox’s Red Eye, you’ll probably know that humorist and commentator Andy Levy’s catch-phrase is “I apologize for nothing”. And this is part of the reason why his segment on August 18th was so funny: he “apologizes” to Chris Brown for a tweet battle they had, but is obviously only looking to further enrage the beast (and his fans). Watch it below.

It all started with a tasteful little tweet from rapper Chris Brown (@chrisbrown):

“No more planking for me unless it’s on a sexy lady! Lol”

For those who don’t know, planking is a new fad where people lie face down, horizontally in strange locations (think across a fence or on top of theater chairs).

Andy Levy (@andylevy) saw this, and decided to retweet it to his followers, with a small addition:

“You spelled “punching” wrong. RT @chrisbrown: No more planking for me unless it’s on a sexy lady! Lol”

Again, for those who are a bit out of the pop culture loop, Chris Brown was sentenced to five years probation for physically abusing his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Levy is referencing his violence towards women here, and boy did it hit a chord with Brown and his fans.

As Levy tweeted a few hours after retweeting Brown, his “@stream [was] a sea of illiteracy” for some time, with Brown fans angrily blasting the commentator. Although Levy did respond to many of these tweets, it wasn’t enough: he took to the Fox News airwaves to really “apologize”.

Although the actual Twitter battle is pretty funny to read on Levy’s timeline, this video takes the cake. Check it out, and let us know if you think it’s the best, or the worst, apology for a tweet you’ve heard.
