Now BlackBerry Users Can ‘Connect’ On Twitter Like The Rest Of Us

If you’re one of the BlackBerry true believers, with a baggy full of track ball replacements to prove it, you’ll be THRILLED by this new announcement from Twitter. (The rest of you can skip it.)

BlackBerry users traditionally have plenty of reason for iOS envy. Everyone is all “iOS this and iOS THAT” all the time and seem to forget that blackberry users are on the Internets too. And even though the BlackBerry Messenger is pretty cool, many do little more than snicker at the “BBM” abbreviation for the service. Juveniles!

Take heart, BBM enthusiasts – Twitter hasn’t forgotten you. Snicker.

Starting today, “BlackBerry will have Connect capabilities on Twitter. New tabs, streamlined design, and simplified navigation makes this the most enjoyable Twitter for BlackBerry app yet.”

For the uninitiated, “Connect shows you who retweeted, favorited and followed you, and gathers all your mentions in one place.”

Users will note improved access to existing and new functionalities, including the new Discover tab, “which encompasses Trends, ‘Who to follow’ suggestions, and an easier way to browse categories.” And you’ll see “messages, lists, and your favorited Tweets in the Me tab.” Yippee!
