Although we (still) find this incredibly weird, add these videos to the list of “things you just can’t stay away from:” A grown man on YouTube reading tweets sent by young female celebrities.

Oh and the “grown man” is comedian Nick Offerman from Parks and Recreation, so that makes the whole thing a lot less creepy than you imagined – but it’s still a big ball of uncomfortable.

And you know you’re going to watch it.

If you want to be mean to someone anonymously, there are lots of ways to do this online, but few provide assurances that your target will actually see what you’ve said about them. So you risk wasting that nasty little witticism . . . unless the person is on Twitter, that is.

One can be fairly certain an @mention will be seen on Twitter – and appropriately sting (just like a passive-agressive blog comment)!

And yes, even when you’re tweeting to celebrities, they see them. Well, THESE celebrities do, at least.

Jay Mohr, host of the eponymous show on Fox Sports Radio, is closing in on 250,000 followers for @jaymohr37. Besides having such a large following, his listeners on social media are engaged and find ways to creatively mention his sponsors in their tweets. In the latest installment of Mediabistro’s So What Do You Do? Mohr shared why people shouldn’t live in fear of Twitter.

“I would say the golden rule of Twitter is you cannot ever respond to somebody saying something negative to you,” he said. “It took me a good three years to learn that, and, even still, I’ll start to type something and be a sentence or two in before I realize, ‘What am I doing? Why am I answering this person?’ I’ve blocked about 3,000 people. I’ve made Twitter this ivory tower of Babel where people only say nice things about me.”

The singer’s fourth studio album, Demi, isn’t set to drop until May 14.

But the singer challenged fans to unlock each song early online by tweeting its title as a hashtag, releasing each single on her website LovaticsSpeedUpTime.com after a certain amount of crowd-sourced excitement.

Six-Second Video Vines Prove Perfect For Shorty Awards [VIDEOS]

Over the past five years, the Shorty Awards (honoring the best in social media) have added new categories to their list, with the introduction of widely used social media platforms and tools. The newest categories for the fifth annual awards ceremony taking place on April 8 in New York City, include Pinterest Brand Presence and Animated GIF of the Year.

Perhaps the sixth annual event will honor the best use of Vine (Twitter’s six-second video app), which exploded onto the social media scene earlier this year as a free iOS app available for iPhone.
