Machine learning, a branch of artificial intelligence (AI), is a scientific discipline that uses algorithms and computational techniques to extrapolate answers, yield patterns and make predictions of possible outcomes.

Already in practical use throughout the world, notably in fields where pattern recognition is extremely valuable (for example, stock market analysis and fraud detection), machine learning hasn’t really been applied to the social space, and all those billions of conversations, Tweets, Likes and profiles… but what if it was?
