Many U.S. schools are now back in session which means back-to-school shopping is at or coming to an end. So how did the major retailers do with their social media campaigns?
According to data from Engagor, Walmart had the highest volume of social chatter related to back-to-school between August 1-24, 2014, registering 232,210 total mentions across Twitter and Facebook.
Kohl’s came in second with 200,899 mentions, with Macy’s (148,571 mentions) finishing third.
Overall, some 963,542 mentions were tracked by Engagor, with web and mobile activity split almost right down the middle.
