What Do Social Media Users Know About The Olympics? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Would it surprise you to learn that 93 percent of social media users know that Michael Phelps competes in swimming?
Yep, that Michael Phelps. The one with 22 medals, 18 of them gold. The winningest athlete in Olympic history. 3 percent of folks thought he’d collected that haul in track and field.
This is according to a study of 500 social media users courtesy of Lab42, which also revealed that 95 percent of respondents have ever watched the Olympics, and 84 percent were aware that the current Games were being held in London.
