As a restaurant owner, are you using social media to promote your business?
You’re not alone. A new study has revealed that, globally, an incredible 89 percent of restaurants are using social media to help drive punters to their tables, up from 77 percent last year.
The survey, which was conducted by Hospital Technology, asked US executives who oversee restaurants worldwide how they are using social channels in their marketing strategy, and found that Facebook (94 percent of social businesses), Twitter (77 percent) and Yelp (53 percent) lead the way, with Pinterest seeing the biggest gains year-on-year, rising from 17 percent to 28 percent over the past 12 months.
