UK Politician Lord McAlpine To Sue 10,000 Twitter Users In Historic Lawsuit

It’s already been well established that you can be sued for what you tweet. But a UK politician is taking this logic to the extreme and suing over 10,000 Twitter users for tweeting and retweeting libelous claims that he was involved in a sex abuse scandal. If the lawsuit hits the courts, it will be the largest in UK history in terms of the number of defendants.

How Social Are UK SEO Agencies? [INFOGRAPHIC]

But SEO does not exist in a bubble – many agencies are adding social media to their repertoire to help boost their visibility. Just how effectively are they using Twitter, Facebook and other social network?

“Crap! Robin Hood airport is closed. You’ve got a week and a bit to get your shit together otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high!”

That’s the tweet that got trainee accountant Paul Chambers a criminal record, earning him the title of first British citizen to be convicted for something he tweeted. However, Chambers isn’t going down without a fight, and has challenged the conviction in the UK high court.

How The Top 15 Construction Companies In The UK Use Twitter [INFOGRAPHIC]

They don’t have a simple or accessible product to sell. Instead, they’ve got to find a way to be social with a service that is pretty intangible.
