Back-to-school promotions provide fodder for much Twitter buzz, and mega-retailers Target and Walmart never miss the opportunity to drive the conversation.
Topsy put together a comparison of the two brands to see which one dominated 2013 back-to-school chatter on Twitter. Which one would you put your money on coming out on top?
According to Topsy’s data, then, Target beat out Walmart for the lion’s share of conversation surrounding back-to-school season (defined as roughly May 23-August 21). A few examples of Target’s back-to-school Twitter activity:
