Twitter For BlackBerry App Is Updated

Following hot on the heels of its recent release of an app for Nokia devices, Twitter announced today that it has updated its BlackBerry app as well.

So with all of the smartphone bases covered, tell your friends that they now have no excuse for not tweeting. None.

According to Brian Frank (@bfrank), Product Manager, Twitter Mobile team, the updated Twitter for BlackBerry app will enhance user experience with improved detail and image viewing on tweets. It will also offer big brother-like maps. Yay?

Now when you expand a Tweet to see the details view, you can enjoy images from pic.twitter.com in full resolution and RIM maps for geolocated Tweets. It’s also easier to see how a single Tweet fits into a broader conversation from the details view with previous Tweets and replies.

But that’s not all. This update also supports right-to-left languages like Arabic and Hebrew.

You can download the new Twitter for BlackBerry from App World.

If you’re a BlackBerry user, check it out and let us know what you think of it!
